It brings me so much joy to have the privilege to welcome you back again to the Brooklin Spring Fair!
Once again the Brooklin Agricultural Society has planned an amazing fair, that brings together our deep routed traditions with some fun new events. As soon as you walk through the gates there is entreatment to be found everywhere.
It all starts Thursday night with the offical Opening Ceremonies, Demo Cross, and Ambassador Programs. Check out the buskers at the Courtyard Stage with juggling, trapeze and fire tricks. Before you head home have a drink in Back40 and enjoy the band Fiddlestix’s.
Friday starts bright and early with the SportPony and Youth Equestrian Show competitions. Expo Hall will be busy all day from the french and english spelling bee to something new this year, Epic Bingo! Finish the night with the roaring Truck and Tractor Pull on the track and Steve Waters on Back 40 stage.
Saturday is the busiest of the Fair days with our Miniature Hose Show and Carraige Racing Derbys starting the day off for agricultrual shows, not to be shown up by the ARBA Rabbit Shows and Dairy Goats Shows throughout the day in Ariland. Of course it wouldn't be a Fair without the time honoured tradition of the parade through town. Make sure you leave enough room in your stomach for the pie eating competition and you might even run into some fun character’s in the Expo Hall. We are keeping the competitions and entertainment going with the pet show and the kids tractor pedal pull competition. The ProRider Freestyle group are back again this year to keep you on your toe’s as tehy perform high flying tricks! And finally, back for another year eveyone's favourite Saturdya night show, the Demolition Derby!
Finishing off our fair weekend strong as we welcome the Rawhide Rodeo to the track on Sunday. Catch the livestock in Agriland with the Draft Heavy and Light Horse Show, Beef Show, and Sheep show. The Expo Hall will be bursting at the seams with the Baby show, Teddy Bear Parade, and the Spring Sing Competition.
Throughout the entire weekend don’t forget to check out the Homecraft in the Expo Hall, Agriculture in the Ag Tent, all the ride’s and the food there is to offer!
I would like to send out a big thank you to our Board of Directors and all of the volunteers that work year round to make this fair thrive. It it because people like you, who give there time and devotion that the fair is what it is today. That we can celebrate 114 year’s of agriculture, fair and community in Brooklin.
