RIDING ON CAR: Insurance Regulation: No person riding on outside of cars at any time. All drivers and pit person MUST sign in when arriving at the event and the online insurance waive
- FLAMMABLE MATERIAL: Please remove sun visors
- TRAILER HITCH:
- GLASS/Must be removed and all sharp edges must be mashed down prior to derby event. Pickup truck MUST have rear mud flaps min 8” long.
All windows, mirrors, lights, airbags & trim, must be removed prior to derby event. Windshield may be left in place to protect driver.
- DOORS & NUMBERS: An optional roof number plate may be securely installed.
- FIRE EXTINGUISHER: Must minimum of 2.5 lbs and be within reach of the driver, must work and have a working gauge.
- BATTERY: One 12 volt car battery may be moved to front passenger floorboard/seat and securely fastened in a box/container clear of all fuel sources. Following inspection it must be covered with a non-flammable shield OR left in stock position under the hood and covered with a rubber mat.
- GAS TANK: Stock gas tanks may be removed. Must be a steel marine tank, custom steel fuel tank, or certified racing fuel cell. All tanks must be securely fastened down (bolted) in the middle of the back-seat area. Tank must be covered with a non-flammable material after inspection. Maximum 3 gallons gas OR stock tank can be left in stock position if not rusty. Referee has final decision. If left in stock position it is recommended that an additional strap be added to hold tank in place. No plastic tanks.
- FUEL LINES: All fuel lines must have leak proof fitting with steel or rubber lines (no clear lines). No exceptions.
- FUEL SYSTEM: Electric fuel pump must be isolated with a non-flammable material covering lines, tank & pump. Non-flammable covering may be fire resistant blanket or air bag material.
- HOOD: A 12” opening must be cut in hood over the center of the engine. Hoods must be held down in a minimum of 2 places with seat belts, chain, wire, bolts or weld. No overuse of materials.
- TRUNK: Trunk, rear hatch or tailgate SHOULD be held down in a minimum of 2 places with seat belts, chain, wire, bolts or weld. No overuse of materials.
- BODY PANELS Metal may be cut from around wheels for clearance. Front & rear quarter panels may be bolted with up to 5 bolts per panel – maximum 3/8” bolts.
- DOOR FASTENING: Driver’s door may be welded solid. All other doors must be fastened shut with wire, straps, chain, welds or bolts. No overuse
of materials. Solid driver’s door window screens are not allowed. Mandatory that the driver’s door be fastened closed in minimum 4 places
- BRACING: Outside of car may have a 12” X 60” X 1⁄4” max steel plate MUST be applied to drivers & passenger doors if passenger is inside car, bolted in 4 locations (with a maximum 3/4” through bolt) & spot welded 1” every 12”. Bevel should not exceed 20”. NO “C” CHANNEL OR ANGLE IRON. Not mandatory.
- ROLL BAR: Single roll bar up each doorframe, inside or across outside of the roof. Roll bars going across the roof must be through bolted twice through the roof for driver & spectator safety. This roll bar may be welded or bolted to the frame or rockers. An additional bar may be added behind the seat welded or bolted from roll bar to roll bar. Recommend 3″ to 4″ square tubing or pipe. No excessive use of materials. Not mandatory. Extra bars inside the car may be used for driver’s safety. Not Mandatory.
- WINDSHIELD SPACE: Windshield area may have a safety cage or bars running from the cowl to the roof. Windshields may be left in place. If windshield is
removed a bar must be put in place in the driver’s windshield area for driver’s safety.
- DASH BAR: Not Allowed
- INTERIOR MODIFICATIONS:
No welding of any inside body support seams or firewall seams. All holes in firewall must be covered with a non- flammable material. Large holes in car floors must be repaired with same gauge metal and securely fastened. No reinforcement.
- BUMPERS: Bumper shocks may be reinforced with flat bar or tubing to help keep bumpers on. Excessive use of material will be asked to be removed. No loading of bumpers. Officials may request a hole be made in bumper for inspection. No metal added. Bumper styles may be swapped. OEM bumpers to be used only. No homemade bumpers. Years or styles of bumpers do not matter. No battering rams permitted. No Reinforcement. Mandatory that both front and rear bumpers are tied up with wire or seat belt in minimum of 2 spots.
- FRONT GRILL: Stock A.C. condensers permitted in original position. Screens allowed RADIATOR: Must be flushed of anti-freeze and replaced with water only.
23.TRANSMISSION COOLER: high pressure lines and fittings must be used .
- SUSPENSION: Suspension must remain stock (movement must occur). Broken or sagging parts may be replaced. It is recommended that rear coil be wired or welded to differential. Rear ends can be exchanged Gears may be welded. Steering columns, drive shafts and rear sway arms may be altered but not reinforced. Ball joints, tie rods, control arms and steering linkage must remain stock. NO REINFORCING ALLOWED. No truck rear ends in cars. No off road suspension permitted. Stock like suspensions. Strut blocks allowed 6” long MAX
- HEADERS: Must be secure, must point upwards and not at other drivers/spectators. Must be a reasonable length or will be asked to be cut or removed. Official’s discretion.
- FRAMES: No welding of frame seams top or bottom. Rusty or bent frames may be repaired with steel plates 4”x4”x1/4”. Over repaired frames will be considered reinforced and will result in alteration or disqualification. Official’s discretion. No painting of frames except for the following. Frame repairs must be painted bright orange before arriving for derby event. All repairs to frames must be reported to officials before inspection – over-repaired frames will be asked to be cut – if not – may result in disqualification.
- DRIVETRAIN PROTECTORS: Not Allowed
- MOTOR MOUNTS:Stock mounts may be welded or chained. Any excessive or added mounts will result in disqualification.
29.TIRES: Maximum 16” D.O.T. Tires must be low aggression. Drive tires must be filled with air only. Tires may be doubled. No split rims. No studding. All wheel weights must be removed. Any rim , No outside beadlocks . Carry spare 16” D.O.T. mud tires in case track conditions warrant. Referee’s discretion. NO OVER AGGRESSIVE TIRES on drive wheels. No triple side walls on drive wheels. Tire tread over 1/4“ deep might be rejected.

Full Size Car Rules
TYPE OF CAR
NO trucks, convertibles, jeeps, vans, hearses, limousines, checker cabs, imperial, suicide lincoln’s
Cars previously run in demos may be considered too battered and unsafe, resulting in disqualification.
If there is in any question regarding the participant’s vehicle, it is the driver’s responsibility to prove make, model, year, engine rear end, etc.
1. Flammable Material – All carpet, headliner, door pads and ALL other flammable material MUST be removed from inside of car. Front seat and dashboard may be left in place. Sunroofs must be covered.
2. Glass/airbags – All windows, mirrors, airbags & trim, must be removed prior to derby event. No loose glass smashed into the bottom of doors. DRIVERS SAFETY
3. Doors & Numbers – Driver door must be PAINTED WHITE. An optional roof number plate may be securely installed. No all white cars. 3/4 of the driver’s door must be painted white.
4. Fire Extinguisher – Must be within reach of the driver, must work and have a proper working gauge. Please check gauge on the extinguisher before arriving for the event.
5. Battery – One 12 volt car battery must be moved to front passenger floor board and securely fastened in a box/container clear of all fuel sources. Following inspection it must be covered with a non-flammable shield such as rubber mat or steel cover. Heavy truck or farm batteries may result in disqualification. NO double batteries.
6. Gas Tank – Stock gas tanks must be removed. Must be a steel marine tank, custom steel fuel tank, or certified racing fuel cell. Plastic tanks MUST have a rubber floor mat mounted between the floor and tank. All tanks must be securely fastened down (bolted) in the middle of the back seat area. Tank must be covered with a non-flammable material (rubber mat) after inspection. No movement to occur during inspection. Leaks will result in disqualification. Ref has final decision. No race fuel allowed pump gas only. NO GAS TANK PROTECTORS. If gas tanks are mounted on the seat bar the bracket cannot in anyway act as a gas tank protector. No exceptions.
7. Fuel Lines/Pump – All fuel lines must have leak proof fitting with steel or rubber lines (no clear lines). No exceptions. Lines should run inside car. Leaks will result in disqualification. All connections MUST have hose clamps to eliminate fuel leaks. Must have a safety shut off switch marked in red located on roof in center of the windshield area for officials use. Switch to control fuel pump only. Driver’s safety. MANDATORY. This rule is for fuel injected cars only. Switch must be visible for 20′ away.
8. Fuel System – Electric fuel pump must be isolated with a non-flammable material covering lines, tank & pump. Example: covering may be fire resistant blanket or air bag material.
9. WELDING – ABSOLUTELY NO WELDING ON VEHICLE OUTSIDE THE OUTLINED AREAS. No Exceptions.NO REAR WINDOW BARS.
10. ENGINE – ENGINES MAY BE SWAPPED FROM DIFFERENT MAKE OF CAR. A basic lower cradle is permitted.
11. SHIFTERS – Shifters may be directly attached to transmission linkage & relocated thru floor over transmission hump. Aftermarket shifters and gas pedals allowed.
12. Hood & Trunk/tailgate – Hoods are not mandatory. Without hood – use electric fan only – fans directly connected to motor must be removed. With hood – a 12” opening must be cut in the center of the hood. Hoods must remain open for officials’ inspection. Hood can be fastened down in maximum of 8 places including threaded rod or with seat belt strapping, wire, or chain only. Hoods/rad support can be wired to bumper in 4 places. Maximum of 2 spots with threaded rod maximum of ¾ inch holding the hood shut. These spots will account for 2 of the 8 spots. Trunk/tailgate to be fastened down in same way as hood. Trunks/gates can be fastened closed in maximum or 8 place including wired in 4 places to rear bumper. Maximum of 2 spots with threaded rod maximum of ¾ inch holding the trunk shut. These spots will account for 2 of the 8 spots. Angle iron can be welded to the fender/hood and bolted together max 2”x2”. Each bolt counts as a hold down place. Threaded rod must still have rubber mounts in place all washers 4”x4” max.
13. Door – Fastening All doors must be fastened shut with wire, straps, chains,weld( 4”x4”) or seat belts in 8 locations per door. Outside Car: Flat bar only bolted 8 times with a maximum 3/4” bolts. Max 72” long x 12” wide x ¼” thick. PLATE ONLY. NO WELDING. Not mandatory. NO WELDING
14. Bracing – Seat bar behind front seat from post to post. Seat bar can be extended down to the rocker/frame and can be bolted with 2 3\8″ bolts per side or welded. DASH BAR- mounted door frame to doorframe, but not to firewall. Dash bars must be mounted above steering column. No down bars off dash bar. Safety bars MUST be securely mounted inside the car. Cars can have roll bar up and over the roof. Can only be bolted/welded to the seat bar. ONE bar can run down each door joining the dash and seat bar creating a safety square around the driver. One bar can run between the seats from dash bar to seat bar to mount shifter and must be 12″ off the floor. All safety bars 4″ max diameter. Round or square tube. This is a safety cage and roll bar. NOT to reinforce the car.
15. Windshield Space – Strong steel construction-type wire mesh is recommended for the windshield area. One strong upright steel, chain or iron bar must be bolted/welded in windshield area. Bar to run from cowl to front portion of the roof. Must be 12″ away from halo bar. NO REAR WINDOW BARS
16. FIRE WALL – Suggested that all holes in firewall must be filled/covered with tin. Center section of dash bar NOT to touch the firewall
17. Bumpers – Any factory passenger car bumper may be used. Front bumpers may be loaded , Replica bumpers are approved but must meet the measurements of the OEM counterpart . The first 6” of the front frame are fair game to do what you like to mount bump. No metal may extend more then 4” past any point of the frame .(if this rule is “Grey” msg me and I will be sure to clear it up for you.
18. Radiator – Radiators and cooling system must be flushed of anti-freeze and only water added. Overflows for radiator must point downward to the ground. Radiator must be mounted in original position or removed. No extra screens allowed. (Stock A.C. condensers permitted in original position.) No metal added around the rad for reinforcement. No rad guards.
19. Transmission – Coolers Are permitted . Transmission dipstick must be securely fastened, wired down or have an overflow tube pointing straight down away from drivers or spectators.
20.SUSPENSION – Steering/Suspension must be OEM. Movement must occur. It is recommended that rear coiled springs be wired to the differential. Rear end swaps are allowed. Any 5 bolt rear. No welding on rearend housing no bracing. Aluminum spindles may be swapped for steel oem spindles. Aftermarket steering columns are permitted.
21. FRAMES – Used cars will get a max 6 -4”x4”X1/4” repair plates.
22. MOTOR Mounts – Stock mounts may be welded or chained. Any excessive or added mounts will result in disqualification. 2 chains (3/8″)may run from engine to frame area between rad support and firewall (upper control arm area) in case a motor mount breaks. No extra chains, wires or straps from engine/transmission to frame or body. No Exceptions.
23. Body Mounts – Rubber body mounts must be kept in with stock size bolts. Factory bolts cannot have large washers installed. If the car has threaded rod holding the hood/truck shut rubber mounts must still be in place. The centre of mounts can be made larger to accommodate the 3\4 threaded rod. Referee’s discretion. STOCK BODY BOLTS/MOUNTS.
24. Tires – No solid fill tires. Tires may be doubled. No split rims. No studding. All wheel weights must be removed . Referee’s discretion. NO triple side walls on drive tires.NO outside bead locks . Weld in wheel centres are ok.
26. Officials reserve the right to change or make a rule at any time .
Mini Cars Rules
Cars under 109” wheel base 4 AND 6 CYLINDER
1. INSURANCE – ALL drivers and pit persons MUST sign the event insurance waiver. Failing to do so will result in disqualification. Pit passes must be worn at all times.
2. Flammable Material – All carpet, headliner, door pads and ALL other flammable material MUST be removed from inside of car. Front seat and dash board may be left in place. It is suggested that the plastic bumpers covers be removed. They don’t do anything anyways.

Tank must be covered with a non-flammable material (rubber mat) after inspection. Maximum 5 gallons. No movement to occur during inspection. Leaks will result in disqualification
Gas tanks can be mounted to the seat bar but no bracing acting as a GTP.NO GAS TANK PROTECTORS .

Bumper can be wired to trunk in 4 places. 2 bolts or threaded rod may be used to fasten trunk and hood shut. These account for 2 of the 6 locations. Max 3/4”. Max 3×3 washer.
12. Hood – Hoods are not mandatory. Without hood – use electric fan only – fans directly connected to motor must be removed. With hood – a 12” opening must be cut in the center of the hood. Hoods must remain open for officials’ inspection. Hood can be fastened down in maximum of 8 places including threaded rod or with seat belt strapping, wire, or chain only. Hoods/rad support can be wired to bumper in 4 places. Maximum of 2 spots with threaded rod maximum of ¾ inch holding the hood shut. These spots will account for 2 of the 6 spots. Trunk/tailgate to be fastened down in same way as hood. Trunks/gates can be fastened closed in maximum or 6 places including wired in 4 places to rear bumper. Maximum of 2 spots with threaded rod maximum of ¾ inch holding the trunk shut. These spots will account for 2 of the 6 spots .2×2 Angle iron can be welded to the fender/hood and bolted together. Each bolt counts as a hold down place. Threaded rod must still have rubber mounts in place.
13. Body Panels – Metal may be cut from around wheels for clearance. 6 bolts may be added to rear fenders / quarters each side. Max 3/8 bolt. Max 3/8 washer.
14. Door Fastening – Doors to be fastened closed MAX in 6 locations per door. Doors may be welded in 6 locations. Max 3” weld. Max 3×3 plate. If Wire, chain, straps or belts are used 6 spots only per door. If using a combination of methods you still may not exceed 6 spots per door.
15. Bracing – Drivers side of car may have a 12” X 50” X ¼” max steel plate applied to drivers door bolted in 6 locations with a maximum ½” bolt NOT welded. NO “C” CHANNEL OR ANGLE IRON. Not mandatory but strongly suggested, passengers front door may have a plate 12” wide and it may not extend past the front or rear door seam of the passenger front door. It can be bolted in 4 spots max 3/4” bolts. Rear window bars are permitted . No hump plates. No gas tank protectors no dash or passenger side bars. No restrictions on drivers door reinforcement.
16. Roll bar – Single roll bar up each door frame, inside or across outside of the roof. Roll bars going across the roof can be bolted twice through the roof for driver safety. This roll bar may be welded or bolted down to the seat bar and bolted to the floor, NOT through frame or rockers. A seat bar MAX 3X3″ can be bolted or welded behind back seat from side to side to protect driver. No excessive use of materials. Not mandatory. Seat/roll bars not to extend past back of drivers seat. Bar over roof cannot be attached to any other bar on the car except the rear seat bar.
17. Windshield- Space One single bar must be in place from the lower cowl to the center of the roof. No larger than 2′ angle iron or 2X2 square tubing. NOT WELDED. ONE BAR ONLY
18. Dash bar – NO DASH BARS
19. Interior Modifications – No welding of any inside body support seams or firewall seams. All holes in firewall must be covered with a non- flammable material. Large holes in car floors must be repaired with same gauge metal and securely fastened. No reinforcement. Drivers seat must be tied into roof or door post. Broken seats may result in disqualification.
20. Bumpers – Front bumper only can be replaced with a re bar. Example. Crown Vic or Caravan re bar. NO FULL SIZE CAR BUMPERS OR TUBE ALLOWED. BUMPER MOUNTING the first 6” of the stock sub frame is fair game. No welding what so ever to K frame. No metal may extend more then 4” past any point of the frame. If this rule seems confusing contact me and I will clear it up . Example ( I cut 2” of frame off I can weld 4” of frame to mount bumper. Example #2 ( I cut 6” off I can only but weld my bumper on).
21. Front Grill – Stock A.C. condensers permitted in original position. NO ADDED SCREENS
22. Radiator – Must be flushed of anti-freeze and replaced with water only. Overflows must point straight down. NO reinforcement.
23. Transmission Cooler – is permitted , must have leak proof fitting .
24. DRIVE TRAIN PROTECTORS – No drive train protectors.
25. suspension/Steering – Suspension must remain stock. NO modifications. No modifications, welding or changing parts. If you have a broken part from a previous derby and you want to repair it call ahead for clarification.
26. Frames – No welding of frame seams top or bottom. Trailer Hitch must be completely removed. ZERO frame welding/repairs will be allowed. Rear frame can be notched. Two extra body mounst may be added in location of your choice max ¾, three store bought washers and nuts per mount. No welding what so ever on this mount .
27. motor mounts – Stock. No reinforcing mounts or chaining engine in.
28. Body Mounts – Rubber mounts must be in place.
29. Tires – All drive tires must be filled with air only. Tubes allowed. Doubled tires allowed. No split rims. No screwing tires to rim or studding. Weld in center is permitted. All wheel weights must be removed and no welding stem protections . Non drive tires can be solid. Referee’s discretion. NO triple side walls are permitted. No bead locks or stem protectors.
30. Pre-bending – NO pre bending or body creasing. STOCK. No pre bending any panels on a fresh car. No crushing trunk floor up.
31. Repair plates – 6 repairs 4”x4” are permitted on bent preran cars.
32. Rear window bars are permitted. No bigger than 2”x2” . Mounting surface no more the 2”x2”.
33.Officials reserve the right to change or add rules at any at any time .
Junk Run Rules
TYPE OF VAN/TRUCK
1. Any factory built 4 or 6 cyl minivan, compact SUV, compact/light duty truck.
AWD/4×4 vehicles allowed with one drive shaft removed.
2. NO hearses, limousines or checker cabs No half ton trucks.
if your make and model is questionable.
3. Cars previously ran may be considered too battered and unsafe, resulting in
disqualification.
4. If there is in any question regarding the participant’s vehicle, it is the
driver’s responsibility to prove make, model, year, engine rear end, etc. RUNNING
Risk: Demolition derbies are hazardous and high-risk sports; therefore, anyone
with a health condition, i.e., concussion, heart problems, or who is pregnant
should not compete. You are competing at your own risk. Protect yourself: Work
Boots, sport equipment such as, neck brace, knee pads, shoulder pads, hip pads
etc. are recommended. No bare exposed skin. All drivers MUST wear long
pants/coveralls as well as long-sleeved shirts. No exceptions. Working seat belt
and racing helmet are mandatory. Helmets MUST have chin straps. Goggles or
face shields are recommended. **No motocross style visors**
BRAKES: Vehicles must have dependable brakes and must be working properly
before entering the RING at all times. All boundaries must be observed. NO
DRINKING OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON TRACK, EMERGENCY VEHICLE AREA OR
IN THE PIT AREA. Any driver or pit person under the influence of alcohol or drugs
allowed in the pit area. This will be strictly enforced. Careless driving in the pit
area could result in disqualification. All cars are to be removed from the
fairgrounds or racetrack immediately following the show. Additional safety
regulations may be imposed, depending on track and conditions.

fairgrounds or track

3. GLASS/AIRBAGS All windows, mirrors, airbags & trim, MUST be removed prior
to derby event. No loose glass smashed into the bottom of doors. DRIVERS
SAFETY
4. DOORS & NUMBERS Driver door MUST be reinforced. An optional roof
number plate may be securely installed. ALL drivers and pit persons MUST sign
the online insurance waiver. Failing to do so will result in disqualification.
Wrist bands MUST be worn at all times.
5. FIRE EXTINGUISHER Minimum of 2.5 lbs MUST be within reach of the driver,
MUST work and have a proper working gauge. Please check gauge on the
extinguisher before arriving for the event.
6. BATTERY One 12-volt car battery MUST be moved to front passenger
floorboard/seat area and securely fastened in a box/container clear of all fuel
sources. Following inspection, it MUST be covered with a non-flammable
shield such as rubber mat or steel cover. No milk crates, no self-tapping
screws.
7. GAS TANK Stock gas tanks MUST be removed. MUST be a steel marine tank,
custom steel fuel tank, or certified racing fuel cell. All tanks MUST be securely
fastened down (bolted) in the middle of the back seat area. Tank must be
covered with a non-flammable material (rubber mat/air bag) after inspection.
No movement to occur during inspection. Leaks will result in disqualification.
Gas tanks on trucks must be mounted to the frame rails and box cut out
around the tank. Tanks cannot be mounted directly to the box floor. Extended
cab truck can have the tank mounted in the back seat area. Ref has final
decision. No plastic tanks.
8. FUEL LINES/PUMP All fuel lines MUST have leak proof fitting with steel or
rubber lines (no clear lines). No exceptions. Lines should run inside car. Leaks
will result in disqualification. All connections MUST have hose clamps to
eliminate fuel leaks. MUST have a safety shut off switch marked in red located
on roof in center of the windshield area for officials use. Switch to control fuel
pump only. Driver’s safety. MANDATORY. This rule is for fuel injected cars
only.
9. FUEL SYSTEM Electric fuel pump MUST be isolated with a non-flammable
material covering lines, tank & pump. Example: covering may be fire resistant
blanket or air bag material.
10. WELDING ABSOLUTELY NO WELDING ON VEHICLE. ONLY WITHIN THE
GUILDLINES OUTLINED. No Exceptions. Referee has final decision.
11. ENGINE Example- Gm – Gm, Ford – Ford, Dodge – Dodge. No distributor
protects or drive line protectors of any kind. If the year/make/driveline of car
is in question, driver MUST provide proof the car was made in that fashion,
otherwise, Referee will have final say. Firewall can be cut out behind engine.
12. SHIFTERS Shifters may be directly attached to transmission linkage &
relocated thru floor over transmission hump.
13. HOOD & TRUNK/TAILGATE Hoods are to be in stock position or removed.
Hoods are not mandatory. Without hood – use electric fan only – fans directly
connected to motor must be removed. With hood – a 12” opening must be cut
in the center of the hood. Hoods must remain open for officials’ inspection.
Hood can be fastened down in maximum of 8 places including threaded rod or
with seat belt strapping, wire, chain, or bolted closed using 2”x2” angle iron
with a single 3/8 bolt. Hoods/rad support can be wired to bumper in 4 places.
Trunk/tailgate to be fastened down in same way as hood. Trunks/gates can be
fastened closed in maximum or 8 place including wired in 4 places to rear
bumper. No threaded rod in the trunk/tailgate. NO folding box sides or
tailgates. Stock position.
14. DOOR FASTENING All doors must be fastened shut with wire, straps, chains,
seat belts or welded with max 3”x3”x1/4” plates in max 8 locations per door.
15. BRACING Inside car: Post to post bar behind front seats – 3” to 4” in diameter.
Can be welded or bolted in place. DASH BAR- 3” to Max 4” square tubing
mounted doorframe to doorframe, but not to firewall. Not Mandatory. Driver
Safety. A bar may run up each side connection seat bar and dash bar creating
safety cage around driver. Max length of side bars 60”. You can have a max of
2 down bars bolted or welded to the rocker or frame. These bars must be off
the seat bar. Outside Car: Flat bar only bolted 8 times with a maximum 3/4”
bolts Max 72” long x 12” wide x ¼” thick. NO “C” CHANNEL, ANGLE IRON or
BEVELLING. Not mandatory. Driver Safety. No limit on driver’s door protection
between door seams.
16. WINDSHIELD SPACE Strong steel construction-type wire mesh is
recommended for the windshield area. One strong upright steel, chain or iron
bar must be bolted in windshield area.
17. FIRE WALL All holes in firewall must be filled/covered with tin or non-
flammable material.
18. BUMPERS Any factory-made car bumper may be used. Bumpers may be seam
welded or loaded.
19. If you choose to use a piece of square tube as a bumper it can be no bigger
than 4×4 or 3×5 and no thicker than 3/8. Tube bumpers cannot stick out more
than 4” from the outside of the frame. If the ends are cut and bent on a 45
degree angle it can be as wide as the centre of the front tires. Tube bumpers
must remain flat, you cannot build a point.
20. You can do whatever you need to do to mount bumper within 6” from the
back of the bumper to the front of rad support without removing or relocating
rad support. DO NOT ABUSE THIS RULE YOU WILL CUT. Rear bumpers must
remain stock. PICK UP TRUCKS ONLY, may have a max 3×3 tube welded
between the rear frame rails so the rails do not become spears. Mandatory
that front and rear bumpers have at least 2 spots of 9 wire, chain or seat belt
holding bumper on. Mandatory that bumper covers be removed.
21. RADIATOR Radiators and cooling system MUST be flushed of anti-freeze and
only water added. Overflows for radiator MUST point downward to the
ground. Radiator must be mounted in original position or removed. No
screens allowed. (Stock A.C. condensers permitted in original position.) No
metal added around the rad for reinforcement. No rad guards.
22. TRANSMISSION COOLER No aftermarket coolers.
23. SUSPENSION Suspension MUST be stock. Movement MUST occur. It is
recommended that rear coiled springs be wired to the differential. All
suspension arms MUST be stock. All steering components MUST remain stock.
Strut blocks allowed 6” long.
24. FRAMES NO WELDING. Trailer Hitch MUST be removed completely. Frames
may be cut back to front of the rad support. No relocating rad support. Rotten
or bent frames may be repaired with a maximum of 4 (4”x4”x1/4”) square
plates. These repairs are to be painted a bright colour and be reported during
inspection.
25. MOTOR MOUNTS Stock mounts may be welded or chained. Any excessive or
added mounts will result in disqualification. 2 chains may run from engine to
frame area between rad support and firewall (upper control arm area) in case
a motor mount breaks. No Exceptions. STOCK
26. BODY MOUNTS Front two mounts can be changed to max ¾” threaded rod. All
stock rubbers and bolts. NO extra body mount bolts.
27. TIRES Any tire allowed. No triple side walls (tire flaps) on drive tires. Rims may
have welded in centers only to change bolt pattern and not to strengthen the
rim. No full centres. No valve stem protection.
28. PRE-BENDING No pre-bending frame or body. Notching frames is permitted.
Bolting of body panels is not permitted.
29. MECHANICAL REPAIRS MUST be stock material and in no way enhance
ability/performance of vehicle. Rear ends, steering, control arms, axels MUST
remain stock.

Half Ton Truck Rules
TYPE OF TRUCK
1. 1980 and Newer Stock full size ½ ton trucks/SUV. 2 wheel and 4wd. 6 & 8 cylinder. (7 lug max) NO INTERCHANGING ENGINES. GM in GM Dodge in Dodge ETC
2. PREPARATION OF CAR – REMOVE OR CONVERT THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO ARRIVING AT FAIRGROUNDS OR TRACK 1. FLAMMABLE MATERIAL All carpet, headliner, door pads and ALL other flammable material MUST be removed from inside of car. The front seat and dashboard may be left in place.

A very simple box or cage can be built around the tank in the bed of the truck to protect the tank only, this must be built tight to the tank and be no taller or wider than the tank, strictly for safety. Ref has final decision. No plastic fuel cells.

10. SHIFTERS Aftermarket shifters are allowed.
11. HOOD & TRUNK/TAILGATE Hoods are not mandatory. Without hood – use electric fan only – fans directly connected to motor must be removed. Hood to be in stock position or removed. With hood – a 12” opening must be cut in the center of the hood. Hoods must remain open for officials’ inspection. Hood can be fastened down in maximum of 8 places including seat belt strapping, wire, chain or 2x2x2 angle iron bolted together with a 3/8” bolt. Hoods/rad support can be wired to bumper in 4 places. These spots will account for 2 of the 8 spots. Hood can be bolted thru the rad support with 2 3/4” bolts. The ¾” rod or bolts can pass through hood, rad support, factory body mount location, bushing or hockey puck must be in place. Trunk/tailgate to be fastened down with wire, chain, seat belts, or 3”x3” plates welded. Trunks/gates can be fastened closed in maximum 3 spots per vertical seam and 2 spots per horizontal seam. No other bolts holding hood/trunk closed except hinges. NO folding box sides or tailgates on FRESH trucks . Stock position. If you choose to run without a tailgate/hatch you can have 2 spots of wire from side to side in the taillight area.
12. DOOR FASTENING All doors must be fastened shut with wire, straps, chains or 3”x3”x1/4” plates welded in 3 spots per vertical seam and 2 spots per horizontal seam max. Driver’s door may be welded solid.
13. Cage Inside Truck : Post to post bar behind front seats – Max 4” in diameter. Can be welded or bolted in place. DASH BAR- 3” to Max 4” square tubing mounted doorframe to doorframe, but not to firewall. Not Mandatory. Driver Safety. A bar can run between dash and seat bar up each side of the cab, no further than the middle of the rear door. You may have 2 downbars to the floor or frame – must be vertical off the post to post bar. Halo bar must run off the top of the cage bars. Halo must be bolted in 2 spots through the roof for safety. If you are running extensions off the halo to bolt it down they can be no longer than 6” in any way. No tip outs or kickers off the top of the halo bar or uprights, must be at a 90 degree. Outside Car: Flat bar only bolted 8 times with a maximum 3/4” bolts Max 72” long x 12” wide x ¼” thick. NO “C” CHANNEL, ANGLE IRON or BEVELLING. Not mandatory. Driver Safety. Between the door seams, there is no limit on driver’s door protection inside and out.
14. WINDSHIELD SPACE One strong upright steel, chain or iron bar must be bolted in windshield area. You may run an A or H style window bar for drivers’ safety, no wider than 36”. You may choose to run 2 bar (max 2×2) from your halo to the top of your dash bar as your window bar. NO full window cages. On regular cab trucks you must put mesh or wire in the back window behind the driver’s seat.
15. BUMPERS Front bumpers may be swapped to any OEM car bumper. Bumpers may be seam welded and loaded. MCF, or other replica bumpers will be allowed. Tube front bumpers (max 6×6) are allowed, ends must be cut and bent on a 45 degree angle for safety reasons. Tube bumpers may have a 4” point spread over 32” or can remain flat. The front 6” of the frame is wide open to keep bumper on or shorten your choice which option you pick . Rear bumper can be removed. IF rear bumper is removed, a max 4×4 tube must be welded in between at the end of the frame rails so the rails do not become spears. Rear bumpers with a factory hitch/receiver built into the bumper must have the receiver cut flush with the bumper.
16. RADIATOR Radiators and cooling system must be flushed of anti-freeze and only water added. Overflows for radiator must point downward to the ground. Radiator must be mounted in the original position or removed. No screens allowed. (Stock A.C. condensers permitted in their original position.) No metal added around the rad for reinforcement. No rad guards. STOCK
17. TRANSMISSION COOLER Aftermarket transmission coolers are allowed. All lines must be hydraulic lines with leak proof fittings.
18. SUSPENSION / STEERING Suspension must be stock. Movement must occur with one person’s effort. Trucks must sit level. No lift kits, no removing “blocks” between leaf springs and diff. Leaf spring trucks may add 2 leaf clamps (2” wide and ¼” thick and 2 bolts ½” only.) It is recommended that rear coiled springs be wired to the differential. 4wd trucks are allowed with drive shaft or transfer case removed. All steering components must remain stock. No reinforcing tie rods. Steering column between firewall and steering box may be modified, rag joints can be swapped to U-joints etc. There must still be a slide/collapsable shaft in place. If the truck did not come factory with a hanger bearing, you cannot add one. Sway bar must be mounted in the factory position with factory hardware or removed completely, do not touch it. No changing rear differentials between trucks, factory to that truck. Pinion brakes are allowed with no excessive mounting, if unsure please message.
19. FRAMES No welding of the frame other than . The front 6” to mount bumper , the rear 4” to mount square tube between rails and to mount gas tank mount on single cab trucks.
20. MOTOR MOUNTS Stock mounts may be welded solid or chained. Any excessive or added mounts will result in disqualification. You may weld a 2”x4”x1/4” strap to connect your mounts in case of it breaking. 2 – 3/8” chains may run from engine to engine crossmember in case a motor mount breaks. One link bolted to the engine, one link welded to the frame, no wrapping chain around frame. No extra chains, wires, or straps from engine/transmission to frame or body. No Exceptions.
21. BODY MOUNTS The body bolts can be replaced with ¾” threaded rod or bolts with 4”x4” washers. NO extra bolts. All body mounts must have stock bushings or be replaced with a rubber hockey puck. 2 ¾” bolts can run thru box/cab attaching box to cab with 4”X4” washers or you may weld 2 3×3 tabs from cab to box, one or the other not both. The box must remain in factory position, do not move closer to the cab. This is for safety of drivers to keep the box on and protect the fuel tank. The two front body mounts may run through the rad support to be used to hold the hood down, no sleeving.
22. TIRES Any tire may be used. Drive tires must be filled with air only. No triple sidewalls (tire flaps) on drive tires. Rims may have welded in centers. Double tires and tubes are allowed. No outside bead locks.
23. PRE-BENDING No pre-bending frame or body on Fresh trucks . Notching frames is permitted. Bolting of body panels is not permitted. No folding box sides on FRESH trucks.
24. MECHANICAL REPAIRS Must be stock material and in no way enhance ability/performance of vehicle. Rear ends, steering, control arms, axels must remain stock. ½ ton parts only.
25. WIRE AND REPAIR PLATES. All pre ran trucks will be allowed 8 (4×4) square plates and you can use them when you want but once they are on, they are on, you do not get more plates. Unlimited 9 wire on pre ran trucks .
Youth Mini Car Rules

2. Youth Driver must have waiver signed by parent or Guardian that will accompany youth in Car . Parent or Guardian MUST also fill out waiver themselves.
3. Parent or Guardian MUST have previous derby experience.
4. Passenger door must be well marked to alert other drivers of a passenger.
5. Drivers door and passenger door MUST be reinforced for safety.
6. The passenger doors will be treated the same as drivers door . Hitting the passenger or drivers door will result in disqualification.
7. Age limits are 14-16 with experience and knowledge of safety and general Practices. Please Contact if any questions about age limits and experience criteria.
